So.Cial is housed in the beautiful Le Magasin building, a 1911 heritage structure located in the heart of Vancouver’s vibrant Gastown community. We’re extremely proud to be a part of Gastown’s heritage and with this in mind, we began a long labour of love to ensure that this incredible space would once again be celebrated in all its original glory.
A pressed tin ceiling is the highlight of a room that resonates with an elegantly edgy vibe. After discovering some original floor tiles in place, we were able to preserve and match them up with an acid washed cement overlay – we’re delighted with the effect. Italian Murano glass chandeliers hang from sweeping ceilings in a space that’s supported by exposed fir beams and blanketed with a glow of natural light from the expansive windows overlooking water street. Stunning mirrors, artwork, and custom designed seating complete the effect.
