• The “Forum 44,” “BC Communities 2045” and “Generation YVR” conferences hosted by the Vancouver International Airport Authority (YVR).  These conferences examined the importance of YVR’s role in the economic future of BC.

• The Pace Group organized the Vancouver Island Economic Alliance Summit with support from the Province’s Ministry of Economic Development to encourage regional business collaboration as a means of improving overall capacity for growth.

• As part of the partnership between the Four Host First Nations Secretariat, VANOC and the governments of British Columbia and Canada, the Pace Group was contracted by the British Columbia Olympic Secretariat to plan, coordinate and manage the first ever Olympic-related business summit for Aboriginal peoples in February 2007. The summit’s keynote speakers included, Premier Gordon Campbell, Minister David Emerson, Chief Gibby Jacob of the Squamish Nation, and John Furlong, CEO of VANOC.

• The Vancouver Island Economic Summit was a dynamic review of the challenges and economic issues facing Vancouver Island and coastal communities of British Columbia.  The concept of creating an “Island brand” was also discussed as a way of furthering the Island’s economic potential.

• The Hong Kong Guangdong Business Forum was a ‘first of its kind’ initiative spearheaded by The Vancouver Board of Trade.  The forum was attended by more than 1000 delegates from both China and Canada and resulted in improved business partnerships between our country and Guangdong province.
