Annual Canada Day Parade
In 2009, Canada Place Corporation approached Pace Group to help them answer the call for improved Canada Day festivities in Vancouver by creating the Annual Canada Day Parade, a free, public and multicultural event in the heart of downtown.

Presented by the Burrard Inlet Fireworks Society in partnership with Canada Place, with support from the Department of Canadian Heritage and the Celebrate Canada Committee for British Columbia, the free community parade celebrates diversity, multiculturalism, strength, freedom and the special bond that connects all Canadians.

Now entering its seventh year, the Annual Canada Day Parade attracts 100,000 enthusiastic flag-waving spectators each year to watch marching bands, dancers, stilt walkers, mascots and the wide assortment of performers and community groups representing Canada’s rich cultural diversity.

Pace Group responsibilities include sourcing and registering parade participants, parade production (sequencing, marshalling, hospitality, staffing, volunteer recruitment, traffic management), promotion, marketing, media relations, and liaising with stakeholders, including the City of Vancouver and downtown merchants.
