Mike Cunningham is based in the Pace Group’s Victoria office and provides government relations, public relations, and communications expertise to clients including: BC Pharmacy Association, Schering Plough Canada, Stantec, Nexterra Energy, Helijet International and the BC Veterinary Medical Association.
Mike joined the Pace Group in 2005, following more than ten years of political and government experience at both the provincial and federal level.
From 1994 to 1998, Mike worked with the Member of Parliament for Port Moody-Coquitlam. For two years prior to the June 2001 election, Mike was an aide to Premier Campbell in his capacity as the MLA for Vancouver-Point Grey and Leader of the Official Opposition.
In 2002, Mike served as a Ministerial Assistant in the Ministry of Health Services, where he was senior political advisor to the Minister of State for Intermediate, Long Term and Home Care. In that role, Mike was responsible for communications and policy response on issues relating to home and community care and senior’s health.
Mike has also worked in the Office of the Premier with the Minister of State for Intergovernmental Relations. There he worked on provincial initiatives relating to inter-provincial, federal and international relations.
