A graduate of the University of British Columbia’s political science program (BA), George brings more than two decades of event planning and management experience to the Pace Group. He has worked with organizations as diverse as the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, The Rick Hansen Man-In-Motion World Tour, GLOBE and the International Conference on Methane as an Alternative Fuel.
George is an indispensable part of the Pace Group’s event planning and management team, most notably for his exacting attention to detail and experienced understanding of the public and community relations issues associated with any special event.
George also offers many years experience in issues of protocol at national and international levels; a skill of particular use when it comes to conference staging, script and agenda development, and the sourcing and purchasing of distinctive gifts and presentations for visiting dignitaries and corporate leaders.
His project experience includes working on royal and presidential visits, and conferences ranging in a diversity of subjects, such as, aquaculture, alternative fuels, international air travel, business and civic responsibility.
Recent regional, local and international projects that have benefited from George’s experience and expertise include the Business Council of British Columbia’s Investing Today for Tomorrow: Corporate Responsibility Summit featuring former president Bill Clinton, the Pacific Northwest Economic Region 18th Annual Summit, the Hong Kong Guangdong Business Forum in Canada, and the 2008 Surrey Regional Economic Summit with former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
