Greg Johnson is the Pace Group’s publicist and media relations specialist. Using his keen understanding of what makes news stories “work”, Greg regularly mines for story ideas that turn business-as-usual into attention-grabbing headlines.
For 2010 Legacies Now, Greg manages the annual Spirit of 2010 Hockey Tournament, the Province of British Columbia’s annual program that connects 225 community hockey tournaments and 50,000 young players with the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
In the lead-up to the annual Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure, Greg leads successful publicity and media relations campaigns in each of British Columbia’s 11 Run site communities.
Greg also performs media relations and issues management for a number of organizations, including the New Car Dealers Association of BC and Quails’ Gate Okanagan Valley winery.
Greg developed his eye for writing at Simon Fraser University’s Department of English and Communications. Prior to joining the Pace Group, Greg was a writer with the Vancouver Symphony and the British Columbia Lodging and Campground Association.
